1st Smart engineering conference with a Keynote by Prof. Manfred Leisenberg

With the first international Smart Engineering conference at the FHM Bielefeld campus, which dealt with data evaluation in manufacturing companies and an intelligent design of the product life cycle, the Fachhochschule des Mittelstands (FHM) and its international partners officially concluded the project „Knowledge Alliance for Upskilling Europe’s SMEs to Meet the Challenges of Smart Engineering“. Altogether about 80 participants from eight countries took part in the conference.

The conference started with a Keynote by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Manfred Leisenberg. Industry 4.0, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Analysis & Co. – these and many more were the topics of the first international Smart Engineering Conference for SMEs last Tuesday at the FHM Bielefeld campus. The conference, during which various regional and European actors spoke and discussed about the status quo and the expected developments in the field of smart product development, also marked the conclusion of the EU-funded project „Knowledge Alliance for Upskilling Europe’s SMEs to Meet the Challenges of Smart Engineering“ (short: SmeART) led by Professor Dr. Manfred Leisenberg.
